What I'll miss about Brighton ON

This is my top ten list of things I will miss about Brighton.

1.       My grandma, who everyone calls Ama. I see my Ama almost every day and she takes me on adventures around the county. When I am in Grenada I will not talk to my Ama very often because calling is very expensive.

2.       My friends. Since kindergarten I have had some good friends like Georgia, MacKenzie, Max, Jade and Anna. I’ll also miss my newer friends Chris, Morgan, Nick, Yana, Brianna, the Jessica’s, Jeremy, Josiah, Caitlin, Katlyn, Rachel, Ethan, Tom, Ally, Logan, Matthew and a whole bunch more! Sorry if I forgot your name!

3.       My teachers, Ms. Green and Ms Robertson because they are all nice and funny. Ms Robertson is my favourite because she tells really funny stories.

4.       Our pool and the tiki hut- although there may be tiki huts in Grenada.

5.       Bagels and cereal because I won’t have them in Grenada because they will be very expensive.

6.       Hot water because I like to have a bath sometimes but in Grenada there is no running hot water and they’ll be no tubs because that uses too much water.

7.       Winter.

8.       Lego because we can’t bring it with us, and Lego is just awesome.

9.       Mrs. B’s ice cream, chocolate and candy… and pretty much everything.

10.   Seeing the sports cars that drive through Brighton because there is gone to be none in Grenada because you would have ship it.

* In no particular order, except for #1!

We're going to Grenada!

This week my mom found out that she was going to Grenada to volunteer with Cuso. I am excited I guess.

I think Grenada is going to be lots of fun, because we will get to do lots of exploring. I think there are lots of trees and sandy beaches. This is what I think a day will be like in Grenada. I wake up at 6:00, get ready for school. My dad will drive me to school. My school will be small, maybe 300 students, with boys and girls from kindergarten to grade 12. My teacher will be funny, I hope. I will learn math, science, library, reading, writing, gym, art, music maybe social studies and history. I am not sure but I think the school will start at 8:30 and go until 3:15. After school my dad, Owen and I will go and explore.

I hope there are colourful birds, dogs (but I can't pet them), geckos, happy little fish, manta rays, and baby goats. I hope there is not sharks.

I think my house will be made of cement and have bars over the windows. But be yellow so it will seem happy.  I hope I have my own bedroom, and I hope some of my friends will come. It is going to have a backyard with geckos and a pond. I think it will have a garage. It will have a modern bathroom- that is what I want, but I think it will be a shower, no tub, a toilet and a sink.

I think it is going to be hot, and I am going to need lots of sunscreen. If I am home schooled I will get to spend more time at the beach. I am hoping my dad can teach me how to kite board while we are there.
